Told it’s a 10 day wait for results. Which is a joke considering it has to get analysed immediately. Day 10 comes and nothing… so chased and just told to wait another day. Waited 2 days and still nothing… so chased again and told it has been ‘authorised’ but it’s now another week wait for it to get sent to the gp. Why does it take a whole week to email some results to the gp?! Can’t get the urgent referral I need without these results. Wasting so much precious time which is not a luxury when dealing with infertility. Absolute joke.

Had private fertility testing, and then a round of IVF on the NHS at Cambridge following our infertility diagnosis. First round was successful. Amazing that they include services like embryo glue and the embryo scope where others try to profit from this also. Great level of communication and care from first to last appointment, such kind staff would highly recommend.

As I’m sat here extremely grateful to be holding my newborn, I now feel it is appropriate to share my experience with Cambridge IVF. My husband and I had been trying for a baby with no luck, therefore we reached out to Cambridge IVF and started all the relevant tests. We completed all the standard checks and they all came back ok, the consultant recommended a hyCosy for myself to rule out blocked fallopian tubes to determine if we needed IVF. My first appointment was cancelled due to NHS strikes which baffled me as we were paying private. The second appointment came round and i emailed the clinic to confirm the time of my appointment (I thought it was at 2pm) they emailed me back saying it was at 10am which I knew wasn’t right as I knew it was an afternoon appointment. I then got a phone call 10 mins later saying it was cancelled due to staff shortages. It seemed a little suspicious and I feel like I was never booked in. I had already paid the £400+ months prior to this for the appointment and therefore complained to the clinic because it had been cancelled twice and they had happily taken my money. They managed to miraculously find me an appointment that day. The consultant proceeded to inject the dye and tell me that she couldn’t get it to go into the fallopian tubes but she was 99% sure my uterus was having a spasm and she would try again. She tried again and the same thing happens. She then tells me she’s ran out of dye so can’t do it again. I asked her what next and she said it’s either your uterus having a spasm and you’re fine or it’s blocked and you need IVF. Confused by this I asked her again are they blocked? She said I don’t know for sure but I would suggest you have IVF. Once again I said to her it’s ok if they are blocked but I just want to know. And once again she replied I can’t tell you for sure. My argument is IVF is a massive thing both financially and emotionally, if I don’t need it I don’t want to put myself through it. In addition, why let someone pay £400* for a test where you can’t give them an answer. I left the clinic confused and called them back and asked to speak to someone else who also said they can’t 100% tell me so to just “go for IVF”. Totally confused and unsure what to do, I proceeded to start the process and 2 months later we luckily fell pregnant with our miracle baby without the need for IVF. Which clearly shows you my tubes aren’t blocked. Cambridge IVF will happily take money from you and not give you an answer. They will happily suggest IVF like it’s nothing but clearly this is because they gain financially from it. The amount of stress they put us through is unbelievable. I just thank my lucky starts every day for our beautiful baby. I would not recommend at all.

From the first I lost three months waiting just because the doctor called me 2 minutes before the clinic closed, 40 minutes late and hung up when I answered. I sat in my hands with the phone an hour before the appointed time and was very afraid to miss the call. no one called me back. I started calling the clinic, but as you might have guessed, the clinic was already closed. The next available consultation was two months later. We were able to call the coordinator and ask to make an  appointment with another doctor in the near future. We were very lucky and got an appointment less than a month later. Employees don't understand the process at all. I was redirected 4 times to different phone numbers so that I could sign up for a repeated consultation with the doctor. In the end, the 4th person who answered the phone said she couldn't help me and she didn't know why I was transferred to her, "because she's just a secretary". After my tests were ready, clinic contacted me only after 1.5 months. I saw my test results in the application was ready, but no one contacted me. Reseption couldn't tell me over the phone what to do next. It took me several days to find a doctor who could explain everything to me. Doctors and nurses are competent enough, but everything is incredibly delayed. I am writing now, and it pains me terribly to realize that I have lost a whole year of precious time. The amount of emotional damage done is unbelievable.

Different infornation given by different consultants depending on who you get. Basic administrative tasks were incorrect multiple times-  causing me unnecessary stress and upset so many times from sending the wrong patient infornation, not having my notes in front of them at consultations, feeling like a number and not a patient, hard to get any counselling even though included in the cost, communication is really poor - but great when they want the money from you. So disappointed and personally would not recommend. The whole process is hugely emotional, upsetting, difficukt  and made worse by basic admin errors and consultants either being insensitive or not having the knowledge I'd expect about my circumstances (procedures, tests taken). There isn't the care or compassion there really either sadly. Wrote a formal complaint and the response was insensitive and upsetting.

If I could of given no stars I would. From the beginning the communication was terrible, no one got back to us and we had to chase up to get appointments. We had an appointment and started meds, we was one week in taking meds and the nurse decided to weigh me mid cycle which I've never heard of considering we have done 3 rounds with another clinic,to be sent away told me I was too overweight to continue having used 1k of meds we have to pay for that and round has been cancelled I was weighed 6 months previous height check and weight correct. My weight was correct at home when I started treatment but the medication does make me fluctuate, I was 2 pound over the weight. Egg collection I would of been the right weight. My height varied on both weigh ins which I questioned! We have written a complaint which they have 30 working days to reply and we have no reply, nothing, not even a phone call to see if we are OK. Tells you everything so now we are taking this further. ivf is a very hard journey, very emotional rollercoaster which gets harder and harder everytime.lost faith 💔 We now have meds in our fridge and on the side and they hold all of our 11k of money

My appointment have been cancel three times. Today was the day! I work in a nursery so I can’t use the mobile phone at work. Anyway I manage to be free at the time request to take the call during my lunch break. Unfortunately I had a problem with my phone. I called the clinic but they couldn’t help me. They just suggested to book another appointment. The most ridiculous thing is that they gave me another to book a new appointment but when I called they asked me to book my appointment with the clinic. So I still wondering why the clinic gave that number!?!?!

Receptionists and nurses are great but not the doctor, she kept cancelling and rescheduled our appointment again and again and does not accept talking through phones nor in-person when their website doesn't let us login probably, I still haven't seen the doctor after 4 months of waiting..

As soon as you've paid for treatment forget about any communication, no-one answers phone calls or replies to emails! As soon as you threaten to go to the HEFA or transfer to another clinic then they reply! I had a failed IVF treatment 6 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for a follow up appointment with the consultant to find out why treatment had failed. I will not be using this clinic again!! My advice is save up a little bit more and go to Bourn Hall, the amouth of unwanted stress this clinic had caused us emotionally for no reason is a joke!!

I can compare this to 2 other clinics and unfortunately I cannot rate this clinic as good, seem to still be "finding their feet". Reception staff civil at best and not always open when arriving for appointments, clinic staff a little warmer but impersonal/cold. Only time I got a phone call was very demanding asking for money otherwise I had to call for results or queries, was oversold drugs that I didn't need or use and they wouldn't take back. No real suppprt available out of office hours. Was told to google how to use the drugs! I've had many rounds of IVF and the 1 round I did here was my least successful by way of egg quality and any to freeze, I didn't have a follow up to check if it had worked so not sure how they manage their success statistics.

I have read a lot of mixed reviews here and thought to write my own. I had a good experience with Cambridge IVF so far (didn't get any treatment as yet) . I was referred by GP to Cambridge IVF for secondary infertility. I was waiting for NHS ultrasound for good few months and decided to ring Cambridge IVF to see if they can do one instead for a fee to soead up the process and then waitfor my NHS appointment,  they said they can that. I did additional ultrasound with Cambridge IVF (£100, they also count folicules, nhs obe don't) and I done blood tests with them too as it includes AMH test (it costs £100, i presume the reason it is not offered on NHS). So far good experience and waiting time for appointments were not long at all. The only negative thing is, there was a time during covid December 2020 where we struggled to book a Semen analysis as noone would pick up the phone for days, like many mentioned.  But from February time is is dramatically improved and I was able to speak to them very quickly and they were very helpful. If you want yo speed things up, my advice, once you got free appointment booked for you from NHS,  get blood tests and ultrasound with Cambridge IVF, so you get your initial consultation and assessment done ( I  waisted 4 months by waiting for NHS ultrasound test, but understand covid might be impacting this) and then you can go back to NHS treatment plan. Just to add, I know there have been comments about delayed results: so there was a lab error with my blood test and I have to repeat it (they use tdl labs)

Can't tell whether they're any good, but they are slow, inefficient and unhelpful. It's hard to get hold of them on the phone in office hours, and I suspect they're only responding well after their deadlines because I chased them. And they will only deal with my GP, which seems unhelpful.

I have not had a great experience with Cambridge ivf on the multi cycle I’m afraid. Paid upfront for the three rounds including the medications and round 1 I did not respond to the low dose of drugs - they still classed this as round 1 unfortunately, round 2 responded better to the drugs but didn’t get many eggs and found the consultant not particularly pleasant, for example I had just come round after being sedated and she said we only got 3 eggs and it was difficult to reach them so I would suggest that you don’t have ivf again. This is not something you want or need to hear at that point and should be positive about what eggs you have got. 3rd round- no eggs collected. Very disappointing experience, the only good thing I would say was that ipswich hospital as a satellite clinic were amazing, so supportive and fantastic.

We had very bad experience in Cambridge ivf. We understand ivf is totally risky. First they do not keep consultation with one dr. We met 3 different dr. Finally they had one Indian dr. She was very rude to us. Specially for fertility dr. are very big support for patient. But they had a dr. She was female. She treat us very rude. I complain at reception  also. She smile and apologize. Bus dr. Never change her behavior. We never recommend this clinic. Pls do not waste your money and time with them. I wish I can give them 0 start. There dr. Did not deserve. Very disappoint with their service

Don't hold your breath when waiting for results....10 working days means at least 15 here, or more. And don't expect any communication to explain why. I speak from experience, not a one off.
