Fertility Associates was started in 1987 by the original doctors who introduced in vitro fertilisation (IVF) to New Zealand in the early 1980s - Dr Freddie Graham and Dr Richard Fisher. The organisation today is lead by four Medical Directors (Mary Birdsall, VP Singh, Andrew Murray and Sarah Wakeman), as well as a close knit team of experienced reproductive medicine specialists to ensure the provision of publicly funded and private fertility services throughout the New Zealand.

Today Fertility Associates is the largest fertility services provider in New Zealand with four main clinics in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch, as well as some lower technology treatments available in Auckland's North Shore and Palmerston North clinics. Specialists from these base clinics consult regularly in Whangarei, North Shore Auckland, East Auckland, West Auckland, Tauranga, New Plymouth, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Whanganui, Palmerston North, Nelson and Queenstown.

Ovum is on a mission to empower women on their journey to motherhood, and our goal is to raise awareness about our products and services. Ovum uniquely bridges the divide between OB offices and fertility clinics, offering technology-enabled healthcare services to empower patients in their journey towards achieving a natural pregnancy. At present, we have 176 insurance contracts in place, with our network continuously expanding by the day. We maintain strong relationships with insurance companies, who consistently reimburse our services.

Ovum collaborates closely with OB clinics and other specialists, expediting appointments and serving as a concierge medical team, coordinating all care in a holistic way. After achieving optimal health, we then transition to providing support for patients on their pregnancy journey. We believe that ensuring the well-being of mothers leads to healthier outcomes for babies.

Our program works by setting you up to see a fertility specialist who will review your medical history, diagnose your condition and set you up with a treatment plan that focuses on getting you pregnant naturally. This could include blood work, ultrasounds and nutrition therapy amongst other things. The majority of these services are typically able to be billed to your insurance.
